My friends had a very busy day today! This morning we explored colour and put on our scientists hats. We discovered that by mixing the primary colours (red, yellow, blue) we can create the secondary colours (orange, green and purple). Once we mixed the colours we put white carnations in the water - my friends hypothosized about the results! The flowers are going to turn the colour of the water! Here are some great photos of our experiment!
Wednesday, September 26th: My friends had a very busy day today! We met our reading buddies for the first time today! They are a grade 4 Immersion class and they will be with us on Wednesday mornings for a bit! Sometimes they will read us French books, sometimes they will be our math buddies (playing games and practicing our numbers in French) and sometimes our tech buddies on the iPads, Smartboard and Chromebooks! Here are some great photos of us getting to know each other (they helped us with some colour activities)! It is a great way to build school community! This afternoon we made a chart - we answered the question "Quelle est ta couleur preferee?" (sorry the French accents don't work here) "What is your favorite colour?" Here are the results - pink was the runaway winner! This friend did some amazing writing! He created rhyming words - aweome job! He was so proud to show me! Our math activity was of course - sorting by colour! Great job friends! What colour activity would be complete without a little colouring? I asked my friends to draw a picture using only their favorite colour and some friends couldn't pick just one colour! :) This friend is using the iPad to practice writing her letters - she is tracing them with her finger. Good practice for printing them and it helps develop her fine motor skills! Too fun! Love to see my girls building and designing with the big blocks (the boys usually get there first :) Have a woderful evening :)
