Wednesday, April 1st: We decided to take advantage of the sunshine and started our morning outside today. Many of our friends were looking for "shapes" in the ice. We have been comparing 2D and 3D shapes. The opening of our Farmer's Market has led to some great activities. We are exploring money in math, writing shopping lists, learning about the letter "v" vegetables, violets and planting a garden! Our garden is a great source of fresh produce for our market! This week the children have been working on the letter "V" and its' sound! They had a great time painting violets in a vase! Our friends have been having a great time exploring money in math. They are writing up their purchases at the Farmer's Market and then they are adding them up (with a little help) and then paying for them using exact change. Way to go! Many of our friends were designing Easter eggs today! Instead of painting them using brushes, they used pom-poms on clothespins Very creative! Have a wonderful evening! :)
