Monday, May 11th: We had a quieter day today as our schedule returned to normal. This morning we read the book "The Dot". The children then experimented with dots to create some unique art. Here are some images of our artists creating pieces using dots! Some used big dots, some used little dots - most framed their "dots". We have been exploring measurement in math. The children have used various manipulatives (links, snowflakes, blocks) to measure the length of different objects. Today they explored measurement using scales. They compared and objects based on weight. We went to the library this afternoon. Mrs. Szeideman read us the book "I Don't Want to be a Frog"! We loved it! When we got back from the library, Mrs. Byrne decided to make some "flubber". We love it because it is gooey! Here are some photos of us making and then playing with the flubber. Our friends love playing with the "flubber" especially when it drips! Have a wonderful evening! :)
