We had an amazing day today! Thank you to all of our parents for dressing your children in "dots"! Our "Dot Party" was a success! I am going to post Peter H. Reynolds reading his book "The Dot" so you can enjoy it with your children. I also posted "The Dot Song" the children loved it! Mrs. Campbell "tweeted" some photos of our party! Check them out on the school website!
Friday, September 15th: We had an amazing day today! Here are some great photos of all of my friends who wore "dots"! So creative - one friend didn't have polka dots in his wardrobe so he made dots for his shirt - awesome!!! As you can imagine all of our activities centered around dots! We had an art table - watercolor dots, we worked our fine motor skills moving pom poms from left to right with tweezers (pom poms look like colourful dots!), at our building centre we had "Bunchems" and the small Squidzes as they both look like dots, and last but not least we had dots for snack! Mrs. K and Mrs. H brought in Timbits because they look like dots! Here are some great photos of our morning - and then Mrs. H was in the other class for the afternoon! My friends had a great time using the tweezers to work their fine motor skills! Pom poms are fun! The Bunchems and small Squidzes were fun! I made my friends promise not to get the Bunchems stuck in their hair! Of course, our favorite part was our "dot snack"! Who doesn't love a Timbit? Even our Smartboard game involved dots! The alphabet bubbles look like dots! Awesome! Last but not least - it is very important to wash your hands after painting and eating your Timbit! Have a wonderful weekend! :)
