Friday, February 17th: We had a very busy day today! We continued exploring shapes. We finished the book "The Greedy Triangle". We had more activities about shapes! Some of my friends were writing shape names and others were using the Osmo to complete puzzle challenges using shapes! We gave some of our friends a building challenge! They had to use the shapes to create one structure - which means they had to work cooperatively and come up with a plan! They created a circus! Awesome! Other friends were having a great time with the play dough to explore shapes. Some friends decided that we needed to change our dramatic play area - we are now opening a "Doctor's Office". Apparently our Doctor's office has a microphone (to interview the doctor) and a cash register! You have to pay for your visit! :) My friends got started on designing the clinic - they put out x-rays and all the tools a doctor needs! We started seeing patients this afternoon. Some of my friends made a chart about the waiting room - how many patients were crying and how many were not! Awesome mathematical thinking! :) My friends have become very interested in alligators so Mrs. Meredith set up the sensory bin. We have alligators, eggs and their habitat! Fun! These last few photos are fun shots! We had our Friday "Dance Party" and my friends had a great time playing freeze dance! They loved Katie Perry's "Roar"! My last two photos are fun! My friends were excited that they had the same snack and then another friend fell asleep a quiet time! :) Have a great weekend! Enjoy your families and have a wonderful "Family Day"!
